1. What we collect

Contact details you give us: your email address when you join the waitlist or contact us, plus anything you include in that message.
Building addresses you look up: addresses you enter to pull reports or add to monitoring. We use these to deliver the service.
Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and your plan, never your card number.

This site runs no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

2. How we use it

To deliver reports, alerts, and digests you asked for; to notify waitlist members at launch; to process payments and prevent fraud; and to improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Who sees it

Stripe processes payments under its own privacy policy. We share data with service providers only as needed to run the service, and we require them to protect it. We disclose information if required by law.

4. Data retention

We keep account and report history while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for records and fraud prevention. Email hello@violationfile.com to request deletion of your personal data; we comply unless the law requires us to keep it.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee against every risk.

6. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new date.
